Triple reconstruction of pulmonary artery, superior vena cava and bronchus for lung cancer
eComment: Before resection of a stage IIIB tumor, the authors [1] could have given information that there is no distant metastasis which is not mentioned in the text. A preoperative mediastinoscopy could help the surgeon in the evaluation process for resectability. It is also hard to believe that the postoperative course was uneventful if the patient stayed 29 days after the operation and that there is only single nodal involvement. But it is also encouraging that the patient did not suffer from locoregional recurrence although he had no adjuvant oncologic therapy.
